EKRooms has a couple of features that allow you to create different kinds of lists to events for internal use or display:the Matrix View and the Week(s) View. These two types of views can be helpful if you would like to show what kind of events are happening in one room for a given week or a concise picture of all events happening at a given time. These displays can be printed out and placed on room doors or emailed to others.
What is the Matrix View?
The Matrix View in EKRooms is a way to display what is happening in any given room in your library on any given day. This view is customizable so you can choose to get a list of what is happening in a room on 1 day, 3 days, or for the whole week. Please see the example below.
How do I create a Matrix View?
- Login to EKRooms as an editor
- Click on the Matrix View link below the small graphical calendar in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
- Here you can choose which rooms and days you would like to see. All of the rooms that are in your organization’s setup will display at the top. Simply click on the check box next to the room(s) you would like to see.
This view is a great way to show what is happening in a room on a day or week. It can be printed out and hung on the room’s door.

The Week(s) view is a concise way to see all of the events happening in your organization during the week. The events show up in a graphical list by day and have links to more information about the event.
How do I create a Week(s) View?
- Login to EKRooms as an editor
- Click on the Week(s) View link below the small graphical calendar in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
- Here you can see all the events in your library for the current week. To see what is happening in other weeks, click on the date arrows at the top of the screen.
