Admin users are able to create custom messages and emails for room requests. These messages will appear in the emails sent to the patrons after they request a room using EKRooms. Here is how you customize these messages.
- Login as admin
- Click on the admin page button at the top of the page
- Under organization information click edit
- In the table of contents, click on custom email abbreviations
- This will open up a new screen with lots of blank fields. At the bottom of this screen is a list of tags you can use to create a custom email. Follow the example that is given to you.
- Description: patron confirmation email
- Abbreviation: ek_message
- Data: whatever you would like the email to say
Approval
If you are approving a room use request, you may define a custom ekr_approval_msg to be sent as the message in your approval email.
If a custom approval is not specified, a built in, default message will be used.
Denial
If you are denying a room use request, you may define a custom ekr_denial_msg to be sent as the message in your denial email.
If a custom message is not specified, a built in, default message will be used.
Generic
You may also specify a generic message called ekr_message which will be used in place of either of the default messages when a custom message is not specified.
With the availability of the custom approval and denial messages, this generic message is less useful but is still recognized to support existing uses.
