There are several different levels of responsibility in KitKeeper. The main two levels of access for librarians in KitKeeper are Staff and Editor. Staff can make reservations, delete reservations, and track kits. Admins can do all of the same things as Staff logins, but also add and edit kits, libraries, and global changes.
Staff logins
People who login as Staff will see three boxes: Staff Box, Staff Action Table, and The Kit Management Functions.
Staff Box
- Kit State Chart –This chart describes the different states a kit can be in. It is specific to the library or consortium.
- Kit Staff – This chart lists all the of the staff members in all of the participating libraries and their corresponding email addresses. This a good resource if you need to contact another library with a specific question.
- Help Box Type in a search query about KitKeeper and get and answer directly from AnswerKeeper, our online help guide.
-
Staff Action Table
- This table is the work horse of the staff login. It shows all of the actions that need completion for a given library.
- Staff members can use the drop down menu in the upper right hand corner to choose what type of action they would like to see ie “Kits that require my actions”
- The top of the box has a color legend indicating when actions need to be taken. Our example shows a red highlighted title meaning that the kit is overdue.
- This will be used primarily in the processing and check in of kits.
-
Kit Management Functions
- This box allows staff members to explore information about kits more deeply.
- Staff can use this box to get usage statistics, find out where kits are currently or change the status of a kit manually.
-
