Hello,
Our library currently has a membership to your destination/museum so our patrons can visit for free or at a reduced cost. I am writing to ask if your destination/museum would be willing to participate in a service offered by Plymouth Rocket, Inc. called TixKeeper, which is the online reservation software our library uses to manage our museum passes.
Currently, our patrons can reserve a pass online then they visit the library to pick it up for use. However, instead of loaning passes which have to be returned, the TixKeeper program can be configured to allow our patrons to print a single-day pass from home or use an e-ticket. This allows our patrons to "check out" museum passes even on days that the library may be closed. The printable pass or e-ticket is only valid for the day it has been reserved, and any lending rules we have in place for the pass will be retained. Printable passes and e-tickets can include the destination's logo, membership numbers, barcodes, and special use restrictions and language. A TixKeeper representative would work with you to include information you require on the pass.
Our library pays for TixKeeper. There is no cost to your institution to allow printable passes or e-tickets. If you move to this easy to use pass system, you no longer need to send physical passes to our library. This would be a savings for your institution.
Would you be interested in switching to a printable pass or e-ticket? I've copied Freyja Bradford (fbradford@plymouthrocket.com), our contact at Plymouth Rocket, Inc. who can answer any questions. I look forward to hearing back from you.
Thank you.
